Project: Curating a magazine in print and then on a device. My topic was on small jewelers and their studios. I'm part of a jeweler family back to my 3rd great grandpa on my mom's side so I grew up watching my grandpa and my uncle at their desks: fingers covered in sut, their giant jewelers glasses, metal melting, burned wood, large hands doing the most delicate and intricate little diamond work or engraving the most beautiful teeny little letterforms on gold. This publication was a look into those behind-the-scenes views of studio spaces, what an organized mess is, and the up and coming jewelers by trade are making.
